Despite some progress, the world of sports remains unequal and largely male-dominated. By following the journey of four world champion pioneers in action sports (fields where women are still heavily underrepresented) this documentary gives them a voice and the space they deserve, highlighting their struggles and achievements. It also sheds light on the evolution of women’s sports, the injustices that persist, the progress that has been made, and the paths toward greater equality. Through their experiences, sports experts analyze the limited media coverage of female athletes and its consequences. They denounce pay gaps, the lack of opportunities, and the need for fairer support. The documentary also emphasizes the importance of inspiring role models to encourage young girls to be active, as well as the enduring impact of gender socialization in today’s society. Long excluded, women are now catching up in sports, a long and ongoing battle that is finally gaining visibility and support. Above all, it’s a fight that must be carried out together, by both men and women. _____________________________ Malgré certains progrès, l'univers sportif reste inégalitaire et largement dominé par les hommes. En suivant le parcours de quatre championnes mondiales pionnières dans des disciplines de sport d'action, là où les femmes sont davantage sous-représentées, ce documentaire leur donne la parole et la place qui leur revient en mettant en lumière leur combat et leurs exploits. Il met aussi de l'avant l'évolution du sport au féminin, les injustices encore présentes, les avancées et les pistes de solution. À travers leur réalité, des spécialistes du sport analysent la faible couverture médiatique des athlètes féminines et ses impacts. Elles dénoncent les inégalités salariales, le manque d'opportunités et le besoin d'un soutien équitable. Elles soulignent aussi l'importance des modèles inspirants pour encourager les jeunes filles à faire de l'activité physique, ainsi que l'impact de la socialisation des genres toujours bien présente dans la société actuelle. Longtemps exclues, les femmes rattrapent leur retard dans le sport, un combat de longue haleine qui, aujourd'hui, gagne en visibilité et en soutien.
